Redefining paper for the 21st century.

Hume suggests that the way things currently are, should not inform us about the way they ought to be. We’d agree. Just because paper has historically been made from wood pulp does not dictate that it should always be produced that way. Function should always outrank form. So we think the paper of the 21st century should be calcium carbonate.
